Tia is a 23 year old R&B singer who lives in Los Angeles. She is a seasoned entertainer having toured the pow wow trail extensively with her family (some whom are members of Grammy-Award-winning group, Northern Cree) and her sister is Juno-Award winning, Fawn Wood.
Tia is known for the trend of 'Indigenizing' Tik Tok sounds and has produced viral content that is both educational and funny. Over 3% of North America follows her! She has an engaged audience of almost 3 million people. Her audience is keen to support her first album release.
Tia is an Indigenous advocate. She is Plains Cree / Coast Salish from Saddle Lake FN, Canada. She grew up surrounded by educators, activists and artists. Her mom is a traditional practitioner and her father famously announces Hockey Night in Canada in Cree. Tia is a jingle dress dancer.
